94/325is sport. I am running bfg sport 245/40 17 rear and 225/45-17 on the fronts, On style 68s. I want to keep the rear the same but go with 235/40 on the front.

Will I have any issues? Tire height calc says 1.4 mph faster, no big deal there to me. The 225 is pretty meaty and I want to lower it.

What kind of tire are you looking for? Let me know and I can make a better recommendation.

Nevermind. I found on the other forum that the E36 M3 and other models came with this size stock. looked it up on tire rack to confirm this.

Thanks

It's even in the door jamb of my car as a recommended tire size

The E36 M3 used the 235/40R17 on all four corners. Not with larger rear tires.

you sure? im pretty sure it was 225/40/17 front 245/40/17 rear on 7.5x17 front 8.5x17 rear . i use 235/40/17 on my 95 m3 on 17x8 all around but yah im pretty sure 235 will not change your speedo.

The 95M3 was 235/40R17 all the way around. All the other E36 M3 used 225/45R17 and 245/40R17.

True, but when I use 235/40/17 on my 95 m3 the speedometer is about 3mph faster. Which aggravates me

It shouldn't at all If you have squared rim size you can do 235/40/17 if you're staggered you should go 245 rear 225 or 235 front imo
