I am experiencing the shimmy above 50mph which I know is worn out bushings. My question is while I was sourcing parts at a cheaper price the guy I was talking to asked me if they were steel or aluminum. What is the difference of if I get aluminum or steel(I know what the difference of the metal is). The parts that I need to replace upper and lower control arms, rear sway bar links, front sway bar links, and center link.

I had one steel control arm. and one aluminium. Now i rock two aluminiums with HD bushings..
Sway bar links isn't very expensive. Got my from schmeidemann and they were like $8 ea for the rears and $15 ea for the fronts..
If you're keeping the car put on some proper spares. Bit of a PITA to replace them..

its all the same. aluminum is lighter. this pertains to the lower control arms. the thrust arms dont change material. you wont notice the difference. buy nothing cheaper than meyle parts. anything else wont last very long. along with the below kit (which really should be replaced all at the same time), the rear links are cheap to add.

I think that will be what I am going to get. I know I can get it for cheaper but I will have to piece it all together and that will be way to time consuming.

Well I ordered the parts. The kit actually had more stuff then I needed but I might as well replace since I will be in there anyway. Same way with the brakes but, I purchased those from another website and got a steal for good parts. From the $2000 quote I was given which did not include everything so it would be more like $23 to $2400 with labor I am saving about $1600 from that. Now I just need to install all of these parts when they come in.
