Got a set of yoko winters for my GF last year... 2 of the tires are more worn then the others.... close to the wear indicators. Would you put these in the front or the rear? What's the thought behind the answer as well.
thanks guys!

Put the best tires on the rear.
If you buy two tires at a shop they will always put the new ones on the back.
With the better traction in the rear you have a better chance of controlling a skid.
Best thing to do would be buy two new tires and put them on the rear and put your other ones on the front.

I wouldn't put snow tires that are near the wear bar on a car at all...at that point they probably won't do any better than whatever tire you're taking off to put these worn out tires in place of. You need two new tires.

Thanks guys, this is the last season for them, worn winters are better than full tread summer tires!
