Heres my second chance on a 30

Well low and behold I have found yet another e30 for CHEAP!!!! ahh I have to go look at it but its got an m3 front bumper its black hes got springs in the back and has springs for the front in his dorm just awaiting maintenance. Ok entrior working heat ac and roof and the best part I can pick it for 170$ cash Its running but it has a problem and thats where I look to you BMW Gods, Junkies and the sort, to please help a fellow in need. It starts and dies if you hold the pedal down it will stay running but dies when u take your foot off. Any suggestions creator of creations?:redspot

ICV blocked/fscked? Possibly a really bad vacuum leak, check TPS too.

Sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere.

I would say that the icv is not working correctly. Therefore the engine gets air when you hold the throttle plate open but not when you take your foot off.

$170 for an E30? with that easy of a fix? man that's a hookup, unless something else awful is wrong. Check out the car and see what shape the rest is in.
