View Full Version : Yet another Climate Control Issue

My climate control will only blow at high, I cant adjust what speed it blows at and when i turn it off it stops blowing the air through the vents but it still makes a lot of noise (sounds like it is still blowing but not sure where). I already replaced the unit and it made no difference. That is the only symptom and I have could not find anyone else who was having the same issue. Any help would be great.

Digital or analog controls? a 96 should have digital controls but you never know.

Well its rare for digital controls to only work on high speed but it can happen. Analog controls have a Blower Motor Resistor. When it fails the blower will only work on high speed or not at all.

Digital Controls use a Final Stage Unit. They do the same job but are very different. When the FSU fails it will typically cause the fan to run only at lowest speed or not an all. Ive read a few (not many) posts where it did indeed fail at max speed.
