Comfort vs. sport seat hardware compatibility

Sorry from reposting from a junk find post.

The question is, can I use comfort rails and gears on sport seats that have been robbed of them? I have a couple of sets of comforts that I can butcher.

The sport seats at the junkyard that I can get have been molested for a few parts but have decent bolsters and seem to be good candidates for recovery.

The fabric on the seats seemed to be pretty good except for some tears, did u get the hinge covers out of the trunk? They were still there Sat morning. I dont think you can use the gear from a comfort to sport, but i still think it would be a good deal for 80.00, perhaps once u take the seat apart there will be someway you can fix or weld the seats. Also e28 sport seats have the same parts, i have transfered parts between them. As much as i hate to stear you to mye28.com because of there attitude, a lot of people have parts over there and might be able to hook you up with whats broken or missing from the seats.

After all, I didn't go for it. I havr so many open projects, that I am trying to be more responsible and productive with my time. There will be another set before I actually need one...
