As I understand, if I decrease the valve lash past what the factory spec says, then it will in fact result in a bump in lower end torque. My question, if this is true is just how far can I go? There has to be a point where it just goes completely out of wack. When doing this, are the exhaust and intake valves adjusted the same or differently?
Want to do this more so to satisfy my own curiousity, not really trying to make the car faster.
Edit: I found this article, actually one I read a long time ago, which says that a tolerance of .0004 one way or the other is ok before anything gets damaged. Its a general knowledge article but talks mostly about domestic engines. Is this a universal rule of thumb?
Thanks!
