Does anybody know how to take off item number 8 in photo.

Was wondering how a mesh grill would look.

Its held on with a bunch of plastic tabs. If the bumper is on the car then its a ton of work to get it off. If the bumper is off the car is 3/4 ton of work to get it off without damaging the tabs. if you use a hair dryer or a heat gun on it or even let the car sit in that 85 degree sun you get then they should be pretty soft and easy to work with.

Seems tough, like if I take it off, I might definitely might have to replace it with the grill. Thanks, I pass it for now.

Yeah there are a bunch of lipped tabs on the backside you have to take your bumoer off and access them fron the inside. Shouldn't be all too difficult mine was a PIA only because some parts where they had sprayed the car before were like glued in by the paint lol. Very simple though.See my sig :) no grill. I was fabbing up a mesh style one with some good old home depot meshing. I plan to do brake ducts like I did on my e39.
like so http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc143/red97hatchek/IMG_20110914_140615-1.jpg push down on the tab and push out on the grill.
