I sent him money for an obc for an E39 and it did not even turn on when it got to me, all i asked was for my $50 refunded and it has been a few months with him telling me i dont have money, then he said he will send me a money order lol welp i never got a thing and its pretty sad people actually feel comfortable screwing someone over of their hard earned money. I will advise to not buy from this dude period

Chris,
I sold you the part in good faith, it was working when I removed it from my brothers car after he wrecked it. The car was running and everythung worked when I parted it.*
Like I told you, with no job and a skinny unemployment check, cash is tighter than a frogs bung hole. *
I did however get a money order for $50 bucks made last week 10/14 for you. *
The MO will be in the mail this evening and post marked for tomarrow.*

Yes, i should have mailed and sent you a pm.
Rather than me paying return shipping, you can just bin it.*

Sorry to hear you lost your job.
But anyone with 7,000+ posts and 12, count them 12! 100% feedbacks is clearly a good guy, this was just a very unfortunate situation.

Reps for not firing back, especially with the stress of no job.

I agree, I've seen nothing but good things from PorscheDude in my years of reading posts here.
While he is right, he should have been more reponsive to the buyer, I can also understand that being out of work is tough financially as well as mentally and $50 is alot. Hell, I've still got my job and $50 is not easy to part with in this economy.
Glad things are square now and hope you are able to find employment sooner than later.

I understand both sides. When no funds are coming in, $50 can mean a weeks worth of meals.
Anyone who thinks $50 is lousy please send your lousy $50 to me. I love lousy $50.
Porschedude went out of his way to save my ass two years ago and was very helpful after the fact.
On the other side, the money order is dated 10-14-11, so maybe it should have been sent out already.....
None the less, Porschedude is a good guy, as his 100% review rating states.
And he did own up to it.
In this hard economic time, we need to stick together and keep each other from drowning.
Remember that forums like this and the people who keep them alive, like us, are the reason we don't get slaughtered at the dealership.
If we had to buy all of our parts from the dealer most of us would be shit out of luck.

Reps for not firing back, especially with the stress of no job.
That is the way to handle it. I too had a transaction with him a year or 2 ago that went smoothly.

There are rip-offs amd there are rip-offs. This was a little misunderstanding. Porschedude is a straight up guy as far as I am concerned.
I get both sides of the story. When times are tough, people find comfort in a bit of denial. I do the same thing! Is it always right? Probably not!
Sorry to hear about your job loss Porschedude. I hope times will be better for you soon. Sending positive energy your way (not sure how, but I am doug it...).

Thank you all for the positive feedback, words of encouragement and well wishing.
It means allot.
I never set out to screw this guy around. Truth is, I did not even question the bad part even though it was about two weeks that I was notified the part was defective
I just said I would send a refund when as soon as I could. If i had the funds in my paypal, I would have sent it long ago. Unfortunatley, with no income and the bills of an employed person, this was how long it took. It may have taken a while, but the right and fair thing was done. It was not his multiple threads that triggered an instant refund. As shown in exibit b, the MO was made prior to his postings.

Not to sound like a lawyer here, but next time you should clearly indicate the parts are being sold "AS-IS". With 20+yr old parts they might go anytime, as yours did. Its the chance you take trying to fix these old cars. Its not like you are selling a brand new in box item that came with any sort of warranty. Seriously Porschdude you are too nice. My 2 cents.

Are you sure that the OBC is actually dead? Or could the backlight bulb filament have broken in shipping? Pull the whie nylon carrier out and check the bulb.

This was an E39 part, the OP just decdided to make a post in 8 sub forums to let everyone know what a crook I am. I guess I should applogize for being a victim of the bad economy..:dunno

I wouldn't sweat it. I just had some dude on mye28 file a dispute on a tampered box...dinged the account for the full amount but he has some of the parts. What can you do? Some people freak out. Cool heads and some communication could have avoided most issues you ran into but like I said I wouldn't sweat it and I sure as hell am not judging you. Life will be better than you expected soon enough!

I think it would behove the moderators to just go ahead and delete this thread from the forum (and any of the others where its bretheren have poped up). Seems like it was all a simple misunderstanding that was quickly resolves and having this thread hanging out there does neither party any favours.
