1997 328i ecu location?

I have a 1997 e36 328i right hand drive (australia) and would like to know where my ecu might be so i can clarify what model it is.
I checked the passenger side but couldnt really see much and failed to remove the glovebox so i will have another stab at that tomorow. I looked under the drivers side and i dont think its there unless its behind everything else. Help??

The ECU is accessed from the engine compartment. It is in its own compartment in the firewall. On a US model it's on the passenger side behind an access panel on the firewall. Dunno if it would be on the opposite side in a rh drive car or if it would be on the same side as a lh drive car.

Ok i got it, thanks for the help strad.
It was behind the firewall which is behind the fusebox on the passenger side.
Some of the bolts were a PITA for a few reasons but overall a simple process.
Just confirming my ecu is ms41.0 which it is. :buttrock
