Not that I've ever heard one in person, but I'd have to cast my vote for the UUC Corsa. RE DMS will give you the same sound for about $400 less though.

I don't want to thread jack, but for those of you with Euro E36 M3s I'd like to know what the consensus is for the best sounding exhaust as well (because the two engines sound very different).

The best exhaust is the one that fits your budget.

Mufflers for these cars can range from $100 to well over $1000. The "best" exhaust is different to everyone. You can spend upwards of $1000 and not sound as good as a $500 system (in your opinion). AND that is just mufflers. You can get into headers and midpipes as well.

I'm sure there are a few that fit into the "pleases the masses" as far as sound and cost go.

I went from stock, to a borla to a supersprint to a RSC36. All were good in their own way. Borla was very light, deep sound for not a lot of money. Supersprint was heavy as stock, but excellent construction with a deep but tame sound. The UUC is a mix of the two: lighter, built well and very mean sounding (and loud as both combined). I'm not sure if I'd keep the UUC on for my dd, but it's great for occasional use. Supersprint would be the easiest to live with on a dd, IMO.

I think maybe the OP is asking what the best exhaust is in terms of pitch and note, not in terms of loudness, as that's a more subjective characteristic.

i'm sure a large majority of e36 m3 owners out there consider the eisenmann race the best exhaust. or something ridiculous and rare like the tubi exhaust. but they don't agree with the price. half the price you can get something similar like a uuc or a stromung. which imo are the best exhausts for midrange budgets.

the exhaust was newish in the video. it drones from going uphill, but its quiet cruising at 3k in 5th

Right! I don't want something loud and obnoxious that's gunna make me wanna jump out from The car! I'm looking into the Borla catback and the UUC system U! Which are midrange

I ordered the tubi exhaust back in april through Scuderia. Apparently tubi can't find the mould for the e36...had to get my money back. Nothing against Scuderia - they handled it very well...frikin' Italians.
