What brand or type is recommended for giving the grill a fresh look?

Before painting, I would try to use a plastic trim restorer. I have used Krafts interior cleaner / restorer to bring back the black colour on interior and exterior plastics. Poorboys, not quite so effective (but works well on rubber parts)..

You may want to try dupli-color if you are looking for spray cans, you can contact them and get their suggestions or their products are available at NAPA and Advance auto parts. NAPA also has paint stores with people who know everything about paints.

I experimented with a few products before I found one that looked good and had consistent results. I used the SEM 38353 plastic & leather prep (don't skip the prep) and then used the SEM color coat flexible coating (http://www.semproducts.com/Catalog.asp?prod=190). The SEM paints are available at any automotive paint store and some auto parts stores. I'm sure you will be happy with the results.

Thanks a lot. I will check it out. I need to start restoring what I can. I'm hoping to re-paint my baby next year.
