I'm wondering what an anatomy of a tune-up for our 6 series is?
Particularly 633 & 635's... I'm sure it's more than just changing spark plugs.. :-)

I usually do:
plugs
plug wires
distributor cap + rotor
coolant temp sensor/sender
air filter, inspect boots and replace if they're torn
engine mounts
trans mounts
vslve adjustment
thermostat + gasket
throttle body gasket
lubricate throttle cable
check the fan clutch

I might add that if in doubt on the O2 sensor, change it out.
Just installed a new Bosch Oxygen sensor in my 86.
I think it had the original factory O2 sensor in there.
Went to NAPA and got a Bosch part number 13942 sensor.
It is for a Ford Mustang, the connector is wrong and the wires too short.
I just used the old connector , spliced and crimped on to the new sensor.
The idle has smoothed out considerably and the hunting up and down is gone.
42 dollars and say you have AAA and get a few more bucks off.

Hmmm, I'll have to use that AAA tip.
Did you show a card?

Do you have your Bentley yet?
Pg. 2-6 to 2-10 has the BMW Maintenance Phase checks with everything listed.
Maintenance is due approx. every 7500 mi. - first an oil change and then a Phase I Inspection, another oil change and then a Phase II Inspection. It then repeats with another oil change.

You could add for a full service:-
Fuel filter
Brake fluid flush
Transmission fluid flush if applicable otherwise gearbox oil check or replace
Diff oil check/replace
Clean throttle body
Clean idle control valve
Run injector cleaner or better - have them sonic cleaned
Check tailshaft unis and centre bearing
Change the air in the tyres
