I bought this to see if I have any fault codes despite not having any SES or CEL lit up on the dash. I'm having a nagging jerky throttle issue which I can't diagnose. I am curious if there are any sensors throwing codes for being out of parameters. (but with no CEL or SES, I doubt that's even possible)

Also, I want to disable my DRLs. Can this cable allow me to do that with the right software? I've read page after page on this forum and it appears that this cable can't, but have found no definitive answers. If it can't do it, why not?

I could never get the ELM327 interface working with INPA/DIS or any other BMW specific software. In the end I just bought the VAG cable and modified it.

I spent a long time on it and now have INPA, DIS, SSS all working perfectly - with the VAG cable. So, unfortunately the definitive answer is the the ELM327 cable will not do what you want.
