As our sharks are not equipped with DRL's, I was curious how many of you drive in the daytime with your headlights turned on?
My car is a daily driver for six months of the year. I myself, drive with them on, as I just feel safer with knowing my car is that much more visible to other drivers. Although, I know I'm wearing out my headlights faster by doing so and most likely the headlight switch.

I only use the headlights in the day time in low visibility situations like when it's raining.
My car is red so it's not a big problem.
My Mondeo is darker coloured so I'm more aware of it's lack of visibility.
LEDs make the best DRLs, they really show up.

I installed a set of Cibies with the city lights wired into the parking lamps and use those for DRL. They look good too.

SuabbyM6, that sounds like a great idea. Any pics? Anyone else done a similar thing?

Agreed with Van6er. I want pics of this. The Cibie conversion seems like a bit of a chore, but I love the look (from the one picture I've seen).

I have no idea how to post a pic but there would be very little to see anyway. The lamp housings are the same diameter as OEM but the city light bulb sticks out from the lower rear of the housing so I drilled/carved holes in the "buckets" to allow a fit. I then wired the little bulb to the parking lamp wiring nearby. The main bulbs were just plug and play. I still have the Cibie boxes if you want part #s.

Thanks, I'll give it a try when I'm feeling brave.

I don't see how we get to those images.
