tail light assembly cover

Apparently the inside cover that houses the bulbs had a short in the plug assembly and needs replacing. I need the rear drivers side. 2001 325i

Any ideas on where to find out? I haven't had any luck. Anyone have a spare they want to sell? :)

normally I would never say this....but go to the stealership.. This is one of the MOST common problems.. Call the stealer and get a new one..they are not very expense..you could go with maybe a wrecking yard, but for minimal cost you can just get a brand new one. Just be sure they don't try and sell you the entire unit.. Just read them the part number of the back plastic piece. Be sure and keep your bulbs, because the new one will not come with them. GL
