I am looking to have my OEM DSII wheels refenished (they need it) before they go back on my car this winter when my forgelines come off. I was thinking gloss black but any other ideas are welcome. If anyone has pictures of these refinished post them up!

I'll try to help, you could do the center in a darker gray close to black but not black maybe a few shades darker than your rotor. and maybe polish the lip..
Do you have two estorils? sedan and coupe!?

I got mine refinished to 60% gloss, see sig. Full gloss appears dirtier than a flat look and might conflict with the look of your car.

When you guys are getting your wheels refinished what style of paint are you using?
2 stage-color and clear
or
Powdercoating
Thank you for your help

+1 for more of a satin. Gloss is high maintenance and shows everything, semi gloss / satin / slightly flattened clear is about perfect.

I agree on the darker grey. I am doing my style 32's a black with a dark grey pearl (one of the colors I'm using anyway).
I'm painting my wheels, I stripped them down to the aluminum, sandblasted and epoxy primered them. I still have yet to do the color, but I am doing a basecoat / clearcoat.
If you haven't already, I have the process and a couple pics of the black I'm using here: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1712198
I don't mean to threadjack or anything, but I always try to get ideas and inspiration from several different places whenever I do a project. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the painting process!

Gunmetal. Black looks like dump on Estoril.

May just sell the wheels and buy another set of something. I have looked at alot of pictures these wheels powder coated in darker colors and i am just not feeling it.
