Mobil 1 HM 10w30

Anyone try it? it has a hths of 3.5 also is 12 at 40c and in 77 in the 100c It is also easily available.

Not really sure what you're trying to say but if you want to use Mobil 1 in your BMW then you need to use 0-40 European Formula, not 10w30 (it's way too thin).

hmmm, actually, a ton of people use 10w30 Mobil 1. BMW even recommends 5w30 for almost every motor.

They have never mentioned Mobil 1 10w30. They explicitly say on their own website 0w40 European Formula if you want to use Mobil1 as it meets their specs.

XW30 Mobil 1 doesn't meet spec. It's to thin and HTHS is to low. It's only an ACEA A1 oil, and the oil needs to meet ACEA A3.B3, as a mimimum, but preferably LL01. Remember a 30W oil can be nearly a 20W at the low end of the scale, and nearly a 40W at the high end of the scale. 5W30 is meaningless unless you look at it's spec sheet.
