Help!

How do I get the alternator out of my 540? I have it loose and disconnected but I can't work it out from behind the oil filter holder thing. Any advise?

pull the two 10mm nuts (including studs if they come off with the nuts like mine do) and the oil filter housing will be loose enough to move it around and out of the way of the alternator. only way to do it ive found.

The bently manual says to remove the radiator, and maybe a few other things. I haven't done it, but it sounded like a major PITA.

Ha! Victory. Had to pull the oil canister and the water pump pulley to free it. Now for the install.
