They were that heavy? Wow. My friend has a GT6 and I'm pretty sure it's a lot lighter than that, but I know very little about the TR6's. I still want to do something like that to a GT6, I just need to find a good body to start with.

The perfect and rare marriage of british styling and german engineering.

I wish I had the time and money to execute that type of build.

Awesome car, but to me the guy is a D-Bag... The chassis was primarily designed and all put together along with the power train and wiring by Tim McCrackin at K.C. Autosport. This guy takes all the credit for building this car when he just put the body back on the running chassis that Tim built.

Pretty cool car regardless of who put it together. Who paid for it? He who pays the bills rights the story.

Kind of... You wouldn't have Chip Foose build you a car and then go to every car show talking about how you did all the work and design. :rolleyes

Now that you put it that way.... I see your point.

The guy who built this chassis etc has built some very cool stuff including a true Aluminum V8 Sport bike.

Because when you are a rookie builder and not Chip Foose you create something like this and what is crazier is someone bought it!

But to stay on topic that TR6 would be a blast to drive with that motor in it. I'd love to take it for a few laps on a track.

Wow on that link. But to be honest, if I were trying to sell something like that I think I'd get someone with a slightly better grasp of the English language to write the sales pitch. Too much dodging and/or defending, not enough info about the car. And too much comparing to Ferrari (he didn't even spell that right). Interesting car, but to really be called an independent build nowadays it shouldn't be based on a production car, it should be a one-off unibody/tube frame. That's my sentiment, anyway. Still, it was an interesting car. I just love the bit about being able to install a V8 with a 6 speed for an additional $16K - classic. :rofl
