View Full Version : What is this switch and knob for?

They are on a 540 m sport. I was thinking the knob is for a chip of sorts. The switch I have no idea.

Would like a better pic of the shift surround if you have one.

But the switch is probably for a radar detector. Not sure about the knob type thing by the parking brake.

yeah i dunno how it works over there, it might just put those leds on when your approaching a speed camera or something.

Either one is anybody's guess since they are not factory. Seems doubtful the knob is for a chip though.

Also, whats up with the shift surround?

Might be a volume knob and the mute/kill switch for a remote radar detector and/or laser jamming system.

Knob is more than likely an LPL for sub amplifier...looks like a 'BOSS' or similar brand.

Switch could be anything. Only way to know is dive into the dash and follow them.
