It has a few extra goodies.
They got the carbon fiber with ///M colors in the weave as a trim option
They had a heated rear seat option
They had the 4 piston floating rotor brakes
There were no automatics
They also got M parallels from the factory and they may have been staggared.

Those are the major differences I can think of.

+ headlight washers
+ more color choices
+ more interior choices

So the differences between the M540 & M-Sport were mostly cosmetic with the exception of the brakes...

The Australian spec models at least had every single part of the M5 EXCEPT the engine, including the six-speed box, EDC, M interior and full kit, plus brakes.

And they sell for as much as a genuine M5 over here *smacks face*. An E34 M5 on 300,000km sells over here for about $30,000.... and in Europe you can pick one up for less than $10,000.

Say mate, any idea how much it costs to ship a car down under from Canada? BTW, I believe the Canadian M540i also is M5 equiped except the motor.
