screw a tire shop, take it to a wheel shop. never seen a center so bent before. its weird, no curb rash? curious to know how it can be warped like that with no trace of colliding with something. unless he replaced the outer lips.

and if its not to late, id make a claim through paypal with him. if you used it.

I'm talking with him via PM, But he said the wheel were perfect when he ship it, the transport or whatever bent it... I used paypal but I claim what? the value of 1 wheel?

I'll try to find a wheel shop tomorrow and see what they'll say. Maybe I can claim the price of the repair something like that...It's just sucx :banghead:

did he/you opt for the shipping insurance? what were they shipped in? ive shipped and received many sets of wheels, find it hard for that to happen during shipping

a wheel goes through so much more stress and abuse being on the car than i could imagine it would being shipped.

Don't know about shipping insurance I'll ask him! They were shipped in 2 box(2 cardboard per box), 2 wheel per box with a lot of bubble wrap...I really don't think they can be bent like that in shipping...

The wheel look strait when isn't moving, I'll try to post some picture.

that is definately not from shipping!

check the rear of the wheel if all the bolts are tightened to the same level

only option would be to take them apart, check the centers, and reseal them properly

What is the tool for taking the wheel apart? It's my first 3 piece wheel. I'll have fun:shifty

not sure, but i think its a 10mm 10point socket. could be 8mm

yup, if they have the original hardware you'll need the special 10point 8&10mm sockets

if not, they're normal 12pt sockets

10 point socketset:

unfortunately, from what i see that wheel center is definitely bad. most likely was damaged when the wheel slammed against a curb in a hard impact, deforming the center and making it out of round. the parts were probably sourced and replaced.

if the seller is claiming that's shipping damage, he's an idiot. you would see damage to inner and outer lips and the center will not move like that.

Looks like it has lateral run out.

One thing you could try is to have a reputable machine shop shave the hub mounting surface at an angle to match the position of the barrel, if that makes sense.

I bought a set of wheels earlier this year and 3 of them had the same problem you have. Sucked balls but I took it to my local machine shop and this is what they did. It worked out perfectly fine and it only ended up costing me $100.
The only problem with this is that your offset will be higher than what it was before, but if you can have them take off exactly 5mm, or whatever, then you could run 5mm spacers with that wheel and you should be in good shape.

Of course, the most legitimate way to fix your problem would be to find new centers and whatever else might be damaged, but it'll cost you a lot more, obviously.

It's defenetly the center, I just got a call from the wheel shop, they said the center it's to damaged they can't do nothing with it... Maybe the shop isn't very qualify for this job? Maybe try another shop? I don't know but It's not that easy to find a ac schintzer center:mad Don't know what to do.

tough situation, hope a fellow member isnt the one that sold you those. sucks to buy a set of sweet ass rims, get them mounted, only to find out and put up with your situation.

I'm in process of taking the wheel apart, I remove the lip and now it's time for the center but I'm not sure how to remove it... Anyone have tips or a picture of just a center? I remove the lip with a heat gun and a Ruber hammer but I'm a bit scare to use a hammer for the center. Any help would be appreciate! thank

Previous Owner owes you the cost of replacing the center and all of the money you spent at the shop. If he refuses, paypal claim bc purchased item was not as described. Good luck

The previous owner didn't reponse to me when I'm talking about money.:mad

He is on board : mike 318is (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/member.php?u=94054) and his name on stanceworks his "imola"

Don't buy from him you will regret it.

btw... I found a centre and I'll buy it but the centre is black, I'll have to repaint it to match with the others wheel. <SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_22318085", true); </SCRIPT>
