Torque plate specs

Does someone have some specs for a S50 torque plate, like the thickness and
how wide to make it?

I'd think 1" plate would do. Milled for surface parallelism, with machined bore and bolt holes.

The object is to apply clamping force to the block. A 1" plate shouldn't deform in any significant way.
