Hey guys, I just picked up a used Dinan set up for a 96 M3. I am going to attempt to put this thing in my 99 Z3M Coupe. It did not come with the CPU. Does anyone know of a good shop around San Diego that can help me install it and get the CPU re programmed?
thanks, Tom
Also, Does anyone know of a place to get the vortech blower polished around San Diego?

Dinan should be able to provide you with a tune or maybe even vortech. You can even try miller performance, they should have a tune for you.

Contact NickG or AA for a tune

You already posted this. I am in San Diego. I wouldn't go with Dinan because of principle. They are way too expensive and the way they work is sort of like our federal government.
I would contact the one and only racersmarket.net (http://racersmarket.net)
My car is tuned by them remotely and if you want to know if their tunes are good or not, I'll be happy to give you a ride. Just bring a pair of depends.

As you found out in THIS thread
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1687352
a few members here have had good results using a different tune (for that blower unit);
however, only local San Diegans can guide you to an INSTALL shop.

Sorry guys....for some reason I wasn't getting emailed regarding responses to the previous thread. Anyway suggestions for a shop to install all of this would be appreciated.

Very reasonable pricing compared to other shops. Tell them Cameron sent you and I will be on their butts to get the car in and out.

If Nick G will send a remote tune to this gentleman then I 100% agree! He is OBD2 and that way could try to stay Smog compliant...except for lovely Cali visual.
If not, then maybe that new company claiming OBD2 technicamotorsports.com/ (http://technicamotorsports.com/)

Yes, I definitely want to stay CARB legal, that is why I got a Dinan setup to begin with.

Did you get the CARB EO plate with the kit?

not sure what does the CARB EO plate look like?

Then you don't have it. It's a little engraved plate with the Dinan info on it and the CARB EO number. Not sure if it's going to be a big deal as the bracketry has Dinan engraved on it and hopefully the Smog guy can look up the CARB EO number, but they make give you some crap about it.

If it's a Dinan kit, then the SC should have an EO number on it. You should also have a sticker with with the CARB EO number to mount to your car.
You can contact Dinan and ask what you need to do ti get a new sticker.
