I have 19x8.5's and I am selling my Z4 to an older couple. The road noise from my sunny china made tires is loud. So as part of the deal I need to put a quite tire on there for them. I'm looking at the Goodyear Eagle GT's. Im thinking they would be quieter than Michalins but have no idea. Please help.

It would appear from the Tirerack surveys that the Eagle GT is not a quiet tire:

I might choose instead the Bridgestone RE960 which seemed very pleasant on my daughter's Jetta. I have a set on the '58 Porsche as well but that car is so noisy I wouldn't be able to hear Gumbo Mudders.

since you're in FL go with the Yoko S-drives. If you want all seasons, buy in order: michelin pilot sport, bridgestone 960s, pirelli pzero nero, conti dws based on 235/35/19.

This may not be a battle you can win. For one thing, 19's don't help. For another, a z4 is not the quietist car. My tires are made in Japan (Star Specs) & Italy (Vredestein) and I've never considered them noisy, but then I also have 17's.
