Hey what's up everyone, I'm super new to the BMW scene and just purchased a 1999 m3 off the classifieds on this forum.. Previously I've been into the VW/Audi scene for years. Finally stepping into a real car that's rwd and more respectful.. I'll be posting some pics and questions on here soon.. Just wanted to introduce myself and post some pics..

This was the first day I got it, on the drive home..

For some reason the trunk had some kind of tree sap or oxidation in the paint so I took some time and buffed it out..

After...

I was pretty happy with how it came out, that's pretty much it for now. I'm really happy with the car and look forward to maintaining and modding it..

Thanks I do like the interior, just one problem, the passenger side doesn't recline. I hear the motor working, I'm guessing that there's a gear that's not making contact or something. Does anyone have any advice??

there are diy's to replace the plastic gears on here. My passenger seat needs the treatment as well.

Im from the vw scene too, my car is your twin. These cars are night and day compared to the econobox-we-think-is-sick-at-the-time-vw! I dont know about you but i am NEVER looking back!

I have a 99 M3 coupe in Fern and Magma as well, but mine is no longer pretty inside or outside after 100k miles of year round New England driving. I have done all the naturally aspirated mods, run a stage 1 centrifugal supercharger, a stage 2 centrifugal, a stage 3 centrifugal, and now a turbo. The E36M3 is OK just the way it is, but makes a great platform for the DIYer who likes to mod.

Thanks everyone, didn't expect to get this many comments. I was actually waiting on someone to say,"if I wanted to see a stock m3 I would have just googles it" lol.. I'm going to check out the diy for the passenger seat..

Yea to be honest with you I really wasn't crazy about the color combo when I first got the car but now it's grown on me alot.. Bought new spark plugs need to install them later today.. I'm defiantly going to look into the passenger side seat.. Thanks for the link..
