This REALLY upsetting to me....I 'm gunna cry!!!!!!
Are my motor mounts or SOMETHING else bad......My engine just freakin VIBRATES!!!!!!! Not enough to wear I can feel it inside the car...but enough to make the EURO coin fall down.... I dont understand!!!!
How can I get my engine buttery smooth enough to keep the Euro coin in my possession up right???
I have tried A Euro Coin, I British Pound, and an American Nickel
They all fall down:(
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!

It's not a real V12.... Two I6 welded together, ECU making sure they are sync'd up :).

my 91 ls400 could do this trick. my 540i and 740i could not. don't care one bit because the lexus was one of the most boring cars i've ever owned.

Cam overlap and duration prevent the V8 from silky smooth idle like the V12.
They are a little lumpy at idle.

I tried it today on my 750il. I only tried once to start the car with the coin standing and it immediately fell. Two other people were watching me wondering what the hell I was doing so I didn't feel like trying it a few times. I was able to get it stand on the engine cover once it was running though.

Use Super Glue and you can even drive the car. 6 and 12 cylinders are the smoothest design. 8's are just lumpy but have the most torque.

Just tried it with a Canadian 1 dollar coin...stayed there no problem while running and shutoff. After a couple tries it stayed there on startup.
On a M62(non-vanos).

You have to block the fan or else it will blow over. And it helps to use a 2-Euro coin which is 22% thicker than a US Nickel, so it's much more stable.

The 5.4L v12s had 369Ft lb

Sorry I worded that wrong. V12's do have more torque but the V8's feel like they have more. 12's are turbine smooth and the 8's have a raw feel. That is just my opinion.

May be I should try it on my I6 M57 3.0 Diesel engine. But somehow I feel it will not work.

Good heavens, the engine bay is huge on a 728i!
A little OT, but is there a turbo kit for that engine? :D
