My girl is looking at trading into a new MINI Cooper S and I am trying to spec out a decent set of options and base aftermarket modifications. Here is my current thinking and list of questions for the experts:

Base car:
+ Cooper S
+ Exterior colour Cosmos Black with Cosmos Black roof and exterior mirrors
+ Upholstery gravity leather in panther black with interior panther black and dashboard trim in alloy patina
+ Glass sunroof
+ Aerodynamic kit
+ Clear lenses

Aftermarket:
+ White stripes from front bumper, over bonnet and roof and down rear a la Caroll Shelby (http://www.cooperflags.com/BonnetDetail.cfm?ID=2)
+ Hartge Union Jack (http://www.hartge.de/html/miniuk.html) wheels with centres painted black in size 7.5 x 18'' offset 48 with 225/35 ZR18 tyres
+ Suggestions for best tyres in this size?
+ Any other ideas about wheels that would look good in black?
+ Unsure of what adjustable suspension kits are available - suggestions please?
+ Suggestions for exhaust (sound, weight, performance)?
+ Suggestions for undersize pulleys to increase boost and any other performance modifications?

When I had my MCS, I used the Yokohama Parada Spec 2's. They held up well for street and track duty and had a lot of grip. Tire size was 215/35/18 and I think the 225's may be a little large for the fenderwells.

Just had a pulley party and guys were having the 15, 17 and 19% pulleys installed. The 19 was phenomenal and hopefully when the ECU is done it'll be even greater! I'd say if you're going to void your warranty, go all the way so you won't have any regrets. Go for the 19% pulley.

Another option on your order list should be the MFSW. Once you get used to it, you can't live without it.

IIRC

MFSW = Multi Function Steering Wheel
