I took my car to the dealership to have a (tested & working) used DSC module re-coded. I have been informed that they can't re-code a used module because it has already been coded to the car it came out of and I have to buy a new un-coded module. :mad
Can anyone tell me if they are lying or telling me the truth.
If they are telling the truth, the after market recycle industry is in real trouble. :(

1/2 and 1/2. You can recode a DSC to the car...
But they wont. Remember...they dont deal in used modules...

BVF, I can help you with that. It looks like some of the boys from LI and surrounding area will be meeting up with me sometime in the near future, perhaps before bimmerfest. PM me your info, and I'll keep you updated with when we're doing that..

As few years back I sent mine to Module Masters to have it checked out, it was toast, so replaced it with a used one from Bavarian Auto Recycling ($500). Simply popped it in, no problems at all.

I have run out of time and have to have the car repaired. I am going to bite the bulet and have the dealer fix the car.
This will be the second time I have been down this road and I have had enough.
I will find a way to tell the world what a rip off this place is and that they lied to me :mad, but for now............. I have to do what I have to do :(

Can I use a copy of DIS to code a donor ABS module in my car? If so must the donor come from another 95 or are ABS modules interchangeable?

As long as the module has the same part number they can be coded with out an issue
