This is a follow-up to my previous thread "Tire recommendations for a 330Cic?".
I got some good suggestions including looking for "Grand Touring All-Season" tires. I used TireRack's chart and was able to find a few 205/50R17's with 93V+ and XL ratings. The owner's manual suggests 93V and XL and I don't want to go lower than those due to the weight of the convertible. I also want something that will last at least 40K miles.
I have narrowed my TireRack possibilities down to the Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 and the Kuhmo Ecstasy LX Platinum. The only reviews for the Ecopia come from Hybrid or TDI drivers talking about their gas mileage and if you go to the Goodyear site they only give it a 5 out of 10 rating for both dry and wet traction. So I think that I will pass on the Ecopia. On the other hand, I could find only 1 review out of thousands on many blog sites that was critical of the Kuhmo Ecstasy LX Platinums.
So anyone's experiences with Kuhmo Ecstasy LX Platinums would be appreciated.
