what type of bulbs do e34 fog lights use? is it possible to do an h7 conversion with our fogs?

I don't know what the weather is like where you are,but too strong a bulb will often crack the lenses in sudden rainstorms,the temperature difference being too much for the lense.
This has happened to me in my 1990 535i,and others who upgraded bulbs power as well in E28's;check with some people in your area,and see if this problem shows up there.

A little off topic but is it my imagination or do the drivers side fog lamp glass casing break more often the the passenger side?

the temperature difference being too much for the lense.
this occurs in freezing temperatures right? 30F or so?

free form e34 fogs use 9006 and projector e34 fogs use h1.
tim (tc535i) did the h7 convresion. i think basically the functionality of them being actual fog lights is gone, but they'll be bright as hell.
