Yo my dudes... i have a small issue.
Just recently my brake lights and cruise controll failed :(
I checked the fuse and it wasnt blown but i replaced it anyway with still no luck.
Anyone have an idea what the issue is?, just wondered if anyone ever experienced the same thing.

check your relays and also if the brake light failed could be wiring harness in the trunk.

the only thing that comes to mind that both of those have in common is the brake switch and the trunk lid wiring.
Are you getting a warning display on the OBC?

i had a problem with my brake lights last week... i just pull out the socket, clean the contacts and scratch them with a nife, then bended a little outside and problem solve.
They had dirt and were kinda bended to the inside so it couldnt make a good contact with the taillight housing contacts.

your a little far for me. Sorry boss.
I'd go for the trunk harness. I picked up an E34 that had the same problem but instead of the guy fixing it he put a bigger fuse in and melted parts of the harness through the car. So don't do that!

The Brake Switch will take out both the brake lights and the Cruise Control. I'd concentrate my efforts there first.
The wires in the trunk will take out the lights, but not the cruise.

Its not as bad as all that if you do it correctly. Lots of people end up destroying the old switch trying to take it out. Just disconnect the wires to it then there is a red collar. Pop that collar ALL the way out and the switch should come out after a little wiggling. That collar has to be ALL the way out and it can't slip back at all or the switch won't pop out. The first time I did it I think it took about 10 minutes.
So what is the display you are getting on the OBC? You never mentioned it. The brake pedal switch will almost always give a warning "brake circuit failure". An individual light bulb will give "brake light failure"

Uhh im pretty sure im gettin "brake lights failure" and "tail lights failure". I dont think its a bulb tho as they both cut out at the same time and i lost my cruise controll.
