I plan on getting a 530i 5spd my father just took in on his car dealership. the car is super clean with only 70k on it id like to do the basic mods intake exhaust chip suspension. i have found quite a bit as far as handling and chip upgrades but i have not seen much in way of cat back exhausts. can anyone make any suggestions as to which way to go the only exhaust i currently saw was by a compant named stebro. sorry if any questions seam redundant but this is my first bmw. thanks in advance for any help, louis

Unforunately, performance upgrades for the 530i seem to be scarce now. You can try contacting some of the big BMW exhaust sellers like Bavarian Autosport (www.bavauto.com) and Bekkers (www.bekkers.com) and asking if they will be carrying 530i parts soon.
BTW, Stebro has a pretty good reputation.

What model 530 are you looking at? E39 or E34? The e39 would be from 97-03 and the e34 would be from 88?-95. If its and e39 it has a lot of mileage, but is still a great car.
For performance upgrades Malcolm listed some goot sites. Does it have the sport suspension?

it is a 1994 530i e34 w/70k he took the car in wholesale so we own it for 5500 or so. he has been saving it for me for the last couple of weeks i am in the police academy right now so i dont have a lot of time to do that much work to it and besides its snowing in CT. so id rather keep driving my saab right now but i want to start reasearching and getting upgrades for the car. what type of gains ccan i expect from intake exhaust and chip. any recomandations... thanks for the replies, louis
