Matching color.. Help!

I am trying to fix some winter rock chips on my hood. I had a dealership get my VIN and color code and send me some BMW paint. But the color is too dark even though its the 'same' color. Any ideas on how to use a toner or any other way to get a true match on color??

If you have and automotive paint supply store near you, check them out. They can match the color you have on your car. The store will typically sell a "touch up" bottle size that is kinda like a big nail polish bottle, just plastic. Or go buy some nail polish and match it yourself.
