GT1 E38 cable?

Hi, I want to setup a pc to program my 95 E38. I don't think the software will be any problem but we will see.

Anyhow I was wondering what kind of cable would you recommend?

If your using GT1/DIS you need to get an ADS interface in order to access all the modules in the car. Also, the ADS interface will NOT work with a serial to USB adapter. The computer must use a serial to serial connection.

You can find ADS interfaces on eBay for around $80-90ish I think...

I believe this item will work, but I would wait until someone else confirms since I have yet to purchase my own :-P

As your E38 is a 95, there is a good chance you need ADS. In any case since your in Norway...buy the ADS/OBD switchable from Do-It-Auto. We know that one works...

Thanks for the quick replies. I ordered the one posted above, hopefully it works. Just gotta get home and put together a computer then I suppose. I'll write some feedback as soon as I'm set up and start getting some results.
