Spent all day yesterday with Eric from Helix as he was doing an install on a car here. Eric installed the 19% pulley along with the Milltek header and exhaust.
HOWEVER, when Eric was dropping the motor back onto the motor mounts, he took off the windage tray to facilitate the re-install. First thing out of his mouth was, "Did this car go in for some work recently?" The reply was, "Yes, they just re-did the clutch assembly."
What tipped him off? There were 4 16mm bolts that were loose. These bolts were about 3/4 of an inch loose! What did they hold together? Oh it just connected the front end to the subframe!:eek: :eek: :eek:
Had those bolts come off and the driver got into an accident, I'm sure there would have been on hell of a lawsuit against our MINI dealership! Stupid me, I forgot I had my digicam in my trunk.
