Silver isn't a color that shines like black, blue or any of the darker colors but how can I make it as shiny as possible? I wax often with Zaino Z2, Z5 and Z8 but it still doesn't look that great. Is there anything I can do to make it shinier? Perhaps a polish?

After you wax or polish, spray the car down with a high quality quick detailer such as Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-instant-detailer-17oz.html).

This will make the surface slicker and also increase the durability of the wax or sealant that you just applied. It's very easy to use too, just spray on and wipe off with a quality microfiber towel.

What kind of silver? I know the silver on my caddy shines like the sun when I'm done. What exact wax and cleaning method are you using?

If you want that "extra wet look" give your car a thorough 2 or 3 step polish or pay a professional to do it. You can put layers and layers of really expensive waxes or even use quick detailers too, but nothing beats the look of a properly polished car.

+1 on working the finish prior to applying your sealant or wax. Huge difference.

2-3 step paint correction + jeweling and possibly a glaze after your wax.

If you wax like crazy....when is the last time you stripped the wax? Start all over. Use Meg's 105, then Meg's 205, then a sealant, then wax.

What is jeweling when it comes to cars?

Fancy word for polishing with a very fine polish, removing any haze or marring that's introduced by the aggressive polish you used to remove defects.

It's the last part of the polishing process, before glazes, sealants, or waxes.

You mean wet like what Todd C. can do to a vehicle?

Take into account many pro's pics are "enhanced" to show more shine. Although I know Todd's are not enhanced, he is the master of white balance and taking outstanding pictures! Which shows in the pics Petrucci posted. So keep this in mind when working on your own car. Silver just isn't a color to really show off IMO (which is why most of my personal cars are silver or grey!). Jeweling will only improve the surface so much after a good polish/finish. Todd usually uses menz 106 on the rotary to finish down perfectly, which should get rid of most M105 haze easily. After that, a few coats of sealant should do the trick.

another 2 examples of DA "enhanced" with proper polish and seal :))
some of the products i use : sip , m205 ,optiseal , blackfire wd ,poliseal , usually polish pad and most of the projects gets flex da or g110 da

if the polish stage is done right you can get extra wet look from silver.
