I got in my car a couple of days ago to find out that the fan is not working. I turn the fan on and nothing happens, I don't hear the fan motor going/starting, don't feel any cool air comping from the vents. My dad drives the car every once in a while. He told me last time he was in it, the fan was making some weird noises at low speed. (I couldn't tell you what they sounded like as I didn't hear them and my dad didn't do it justice)

My question: Is it the fan blower motor or the resistor pack? (None of the lights on the A/C controller light up, and the fan knob doesn't seem to be operating, can't tell if any of the other knobs work or not)

Thanks,
db

It is your fan motor if your fuse is not shot. I would replace the fuse regardless of how it looks since many times it will look OK but not be.
Your resistor pack will operate on high speed if the pack is shot because the last setting is a direct link to the fan.
Look at it this way 2012's are almost out that makes this 16-17 years old and the fan has had its time.
By the way the eBay fans are as good as the factory fan replacements. Also don't let anyone tell you that if the fan spins it is good, that means nothing. If you examine the brushes you will most likely see they are shot and the bearings are greaseless so it is shot...
