Hello all, I do appreciate any constructive help that any of you can help with.

A couple of details...I am in the market for a new car and I have always loved the E36 3 series sedans (ya I am/was looking for a nice 4 door, comfy ride but still stylish). I live in Canada and am a bit concerned about the rear wheel drive for winters but i will probably be able to manage. most of the 3 series (318i, 320, 323) that i have been looking at have over 120,000 miles and they want around $3500+.

I was never looking for a car with alot of power because I do a fair bit of driving to work and with gas prices am a bit concerned about the fuel economy (thats why i was looking at the 318 and 320's). However I just came across a deal that I think seems to be pretty hard to pass up.

it is a 1992 BMW M3 with just over 60,000 miles (108,000KM) Auto (blaaa i know you got all that power and its auto...) 2 door coupe. Guy has to leave the country soon and needs to get rid of it. He told $4000 was as low as he will go. Would I be stupid not to buy this? What are similar vehicles going for in your area's? my first thought is to just buy it and have some fun for the summer, but I am just wondering about resale, this is the only M3 i have seen online within a 300 mile radius from me.

Thank you for all your help.

Dave

Buy it for that if it all looks clean. There are real deals like this out there...my car was one of these.
