I have an e60 with 122's on it. They have the original I think tires on it, and well they are shot. I am looking for something that is all season, as well as QUIET. Those are my real only requirements. I am having a problem with the size, that 225 50 is an odd size. Tire Rack has been a huge help, but I would love some other input as to what ya'll have been running.
Thanks!

I'm definitely a Pirelli fan, but the P Zero Nero AS is a bit of a loud tire. For a quite all season you best bet is the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. That said, depending on how your car treats tires, you could save some money and get the Continental ExtremeContanct DWS. Obvsiously most BMW's will wear out the inside edge of their tires due to their negative camber, but some are easier on tires than others. If there isn't too much of a difference in tread wear on the inside edge then I would definitely save the money and go with the Continentals.
And Discount Tire will get you a better deal on whatever tire you go with than Tire Rack. Just sayin...

Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport is what i have on my 335. I LOVE them. Excellent handling, wet weather, low noise. And cheap.
Also, discount tire sucks.

Never dealt with Tire Rack, are they better than Discount tire? The last time I had my tires put on at DT my steering was all loose. Of course new tires always make a car feel looser until they are broken in, but something just wasn't right...was it just the new tire break in period or something they did? thoughts??

I've been using them for years now, and yes I have shopped at both. I get my tires the next day by UPS ground. The main reason i like them is because if you purchase the tire warranty and actually need to use it, no questions they send out a new tire. Discount tire took 3 weeks to get me a new tire lol.

3 weeks? damn...lol Any thoughts about the loose feeling in the steering after new tires?

They probably knocked your alignment out of wack, new tire feel wouldn't affect it that much.

If I can help with anything let me know. We also sponsor BMW club racing and a number of the BMW car enthusiast forums. The best that I have driven on for quiet and smooth ride is the Bridgestone Turanza Serinity.
If I can help let me know.

lol, they will. Tire Rack's prices only look better because they don't show shipping, mounting, or balancing. Trust me, you bring them any quote and they will get you a better deal.

It probably took three weeks because your particular tire was on back order. Half the time they can get them the next day if you need it.
