I have very minor mechanical skill (oil changes) only. I bought the kit dropped it in over 2 weekends (taking my time labeling everything) and the car started perfectly. Eric's customer service is impeccable. He answered all my calls and questions very thoroughly. I had no idea what I was getting into when I first started and felt a bit overwhelmed, but then I just keep thinking confidently and referring to the instructions and pictures. I had no idea what an ICV or Crank Vent or blah blah but x+y=z no problem. If you can't tell the difference between a bolt and a nut I would have it installed at a shop, any other joe should be able to do this. Only tools I bought were an 11 piece ratchet set from Sears.

Impressions of the manifold? Well I've done much research about this torque loss and although there is, I can't tell... around 35 to 4 where people say the loss occurs, I can't tell...The top end does pull harder though. I enjoy it immensely, car should have came stock like this. Must do mod. I'm not into engine modding too much CAI, pullies are rubbish in my opinion, but the manifold is a must. Thanks for all your help Eric the construction of your kit is very clever and has very high quality control

Thanks for the review! I'll be picking up his kit also, seems like it's put together well. How long did it take you in hours approximately?

I might as well toss my review in here too since I just put mine in like two weeks ago.

I found his instructions to be way to much for the advanced person(as in stop reading and just put the manifold in . its not rocket science)
perfect for those who are new though.

I got my kit Friday. Had the mani off and pretty much in that night. Woke up Saturday to tie up some loose ends and off I went. The biggest bitch of the whole swap(imo) is that last manifold nut.

I definitely felt the minor torque drop in the 3k range. (stock dme) with the much improved top end.The drop isnt all that bad. this is what this car was missing for sure imho. its much more my style. Now if only we could get it to rev to 8k easily lol

The fit was decent. its a bit tight in there though so I have some rubbing(rubber tubing) which is a bit off putting but the manifold is bigger and its just tight regardless.

Eric was quick with emails and shipping.
ya you could do something yourself but this all came to my door and I didnt have to run around town. works for me.

great mod for the car.

Ive already done like 1000 miles since I installed it a couple weeks ago. everything is fine.

it took me and a couple of friends a bit over 4.439371*10^(-7) millenia to do...that's about 0.005401235 months

Hour wise I don't know but I'd start at around a little before noon then stop at around 5 6ish to chill over the course of 2 weekends. I tried one evening working on it while I was drunk it wasn't happening. During the weekdays I'd work on the modifications of the manifold and so forth. It's totally dooable for a noob.

Yeah the last nut securing the mainfold to the back was a tight fit but not impossible. I put my little ratchet in there and used a plastic pipe as a leverage bar and it came out fine. When I put the nut back on, I put a little piece of tape inside the socket so the nut would stick on to my wrench so I wouldn't worry about dropping it into the engine bay. FYI I pulled off all of the injectors to allow more room. Although it's not necessary and was additional work it was much more convenient to work with them off. My car was out for a week, luckily I have a DD. If you don't have a DD i'd suggest starting on a Friday evening and plan for all Sat and Sun and that should be ample time. If you have a buddy that helps too, I wen't solo though. Just don't rush anything that is key

The instructions are really detailed which I like as I litterally followed them step by step

Hmm, 3.9455179 hours ain't bad at all.

I'll be going it alone, so I'd expect double that. Probably spend a weekend on it.

Labeling everything is so important. We didn't do this with mine and now I have two hoses that I'm not sure what they're connected to. However, the car runs fine. It was literally weeks before I noticed a little loss down low. It's not much but it's there. 4k up is so much better that it doesn't matter.
I do think that the improvement up high is what makes the softness down low more noticeable.

took me about 5 hrs total doing it solo, removal/installation and a beer and sandwich break. start up was nothing but rough idle for a little less than a minute. otherwise nothing but improvement up top and minimal notice of loss below 3500. great upgrade for the $$$. approve of eric's kit even though i routed some of the vac lines differently which made it easier i think.
