On my way home on a warm Friday noon.....
I got stop by an unmarked police car, I was doing 91 in a 60 MPH zone. He gave me three tickets, one for speeding, one for changing lane without signal, and one for reckless driving.
What I don't understand is the reckless driving. How can that be. I wasn't weaving in and out of traffic at all, by the way this is around 3:00 p.m. traffic wasn't heavy at all.
How can I get out of the reckless driving ticket when I appear at court. This is my first ticket in 10 yrs.

Please help, any advice would be appreciated.

Wreckless driving is one of those BS tickets and officer can give you. Kinda like the 'too fast for conditions' ticket.

Any handle traffic attorney could probably loop hole you out of that one.

Scroll on down to How to beat a speeding ticket.

It might help you.

With 3 tickets, you should consult an Attorney about representing you in court..

I believe that if you are 25 mph or more over the speed limit that is considered reckless.

Definitely fight the tickets. The lick Chris provided is super.

Awesome link... I think I got caught by photo radar when I was coming back from lunch today... Normally when I see those auto machines that display your speed, I normally try to speed up for them to see how fast I can get going when I get there.

Did that today and the thing started blinking at me... DOH! :o

So we'll see what happens... if anything, it'll go off to the lawyer. Luckily, I didn't trip it too fast if anything... slow reaction time (I had just eaten).

I definitely read some of the tips (i.e. if you're car color is "red, yellow", definitely drive in the right lane!). Now I know to do that when I drive to the gym from work. I'll zip into the left lane then zip back to the right. Also need to get a Valentine 1 Radar detector.

here's one for you all.

127mph on the NJ Turnpike.

I pulled over as soon as I saw the officer turn on his cherries. he walked up to my passenger side window and said "good afternoon, new jersey state trooper. Have you ever had your license suspended before?"

Well to make a long story short, he quoted how fast i was going, mentioned my car was very fast, and mentioned that i needed some good excuses even faster.

well, I started 2000 with 6 PBA and FOP cards, I left that situation with 3 left. he took all the cards, and asked me how do i know each officer/detective/mayor etc... well, he did give me a ticket. failure to obey posted sign. only $44 and NO POINTS!!! I thought i was going ot get carted off to jail and have the car impounded...damn!

yes, I drove away with a smile on my face.
