so in the fall i thought i liked the french high/fog combo on my car. so i did it using the krylon stained glass paint. although many may think it looks good i am quite tired of it already and want to go back to clear. do you think a traditional paint stripper and some elbow grease should do the trick to get the yellow off? i just dont want to go into removing it and coming out not clear and looking like dogshit.
any suggestions?

Hahaha I thought the same exact thing the other day. Krylon comes off easy as hell. Paint thinner or gas would be fine. It just takes alot of muscle

Is the "paint" you used actually paint, or is it a stain? If it's just a paint, you should be able to get it off; if it's a stain then you will probably be looking at a new set of headlights.

Krylons stained glass paint. It comes off. But its difficult and takes a while. Im sure you can buy used fogs for cheap though.

its paint not stain. worst case scenario i figured i could get new inner lenses for my dj autos.
both the high lenses and fogs are glass so i think it would be fairly safe to try to remove before replacing.

If you are working with glass you should be able to get it off pretty easy with a little paint thinner and some elbow grease.
You might even be able to scrape it off gently with a razor blade or something similar.

Idk about the high lenses but fogs would be a simple task

yeah as long as the razor blade stays "wet" it will reduce the chance of scratching from what ive read.
as far as the highs, its not really any more of a pain than when i did them, just need to obviously disassemble the headlight lens, cut out the old silicone, remove, strip, replace, re-silicone.... . but aiming the lights again kinda sucks...

Dj autos have clips though right?

dj auto's have 2 +2 top/bottom main clips that hold the housing to the lens, then within the main lens there are a few tabs that hold each individual lens in place (high/low) but also adding a few beads of silicone so they dont rattle etc..

Oh that doesn't sound that bad.

its really quite simple. i just didn't want to start the job and it all looking shoddy and smeared etc... otherwise id rather let it be for now... but i feel pretty confident that some stripper, coupled with a smooth razor and some elbow grease should do the trick.
