Love the 1M, awesome video.

I would rather put a couple grand on top and get a raw v8 powered M3 saloon. Soon, pretty much every car will have a turbo(s). It's the only way to keep power up where the consumer wants it, while using smaller motors to meet emissions and fuel consumption restrictions.

Probably a fake, but what I wouldn't give to see them hand over a set of keys to Ken Block. There might be one or two casualties (1Ms), but i think he could do it.

If BMW invested in technology in reducing weight that wouldn't totally be necessary in terms of fitting n/a engines that could allow the car to perform well. But turbo's/Direct Injection do present some advantages in terms of fuel efficiency while still having good torque and power.

saw this on FB off the BMW blog page. it looks fake to me, you can see the CG difference in the walls but like someone posted above it could be a foam/other material. awesome if its real as that would take a lot of practice runs......A LOT

Its funny that I remember a huge following of people wanting BMW's M3 after the E46 to use a turbo I6 instead of a V8. This was around the time HPF was getting well-known, people saw the capability of those engines and wanted more of that, not V8 - because a lot of BMW's history is in the I6. But BMW went V8 with the M3, and now people dont like BMW for going with a I6 turbo on the 1M... its just funny how people's opinions change...

Personally, I would take the 1M over any current BMW. It seems awesome. I love the looks, just seeing videos of it driving like this make me want to get behind the wheel and carve up a canyon road... the 128 is fun to drive, I bet a 135 would be fantastic and the 1M sublime.
