I'll be getting my tint redone in a few days, give me some ideas. I'm thinking 20% all around and 60% on my windshield.

Call me an old fart, but why tint the windshield? Aren't you concerned about seeing less at night?

Ummm.... I am pretty sure it's illegal to tint the windshield.... and for good reason...

I did 20% on my back windows and about a 6" sun strip
The pics in my album show it
I have some 50% im going to use for the front
Holding off a little as its illegal in CA
And yes doing your whole windshield is asking for a ticket
And not safe at all.
By the way, did all the tint myself for $15
There are a few spots thats arent perfect but it does the job
And you can't beat the price!

50% on the front windshield. All of it. You can NOT tell it's there unless you're looking for it. 20% everywhere else. What color is your interior, black? 35% will look dark, 20% even darker.

50% is about the cutoff point for tint actually being noticable. 60 or 70 (if you can find it that light at all) will be very subtle.

I have 5 behind the B-pillar and on the sunstrip, 15 on the front sides. Gotten numerous tickets in California for it, but nowhere else.

What I find odd is that the 15 actually looks darker, because the 5 is so reflective. The 5 does a great job concealing the car's contents, like two people in a sleeping bag in a busy parkinglot :shifty

Yes, initially I was. But 50-60% tint on the windshield isn't going to be a problem. I'm not a fan of limo tint either.

Its illegal, but I don't care. I understand you'll get idiots tinting their windshields way too dark, but I'm only talking about 60% here.

I love your touring more and more every time I see it.

I have a black on black 535i, i assume 25% tint will be about right without looking to ghetto.
