coolant level low message

the low coolant level message has been popping up on my display at start up. the BMW dealership looked into it and told me that the coolant reservoir has a couple wires that need to be either repaired or re-connected, i can't remember exactly. i decided to try and tackle this myself. can anyone tell me where or how to gain access to these connections?

Yes, remove the expansion tank from it's location...when you lift it up...you can disconnect the coolant level sensor on the bottom.
