Anyone know of any Junkyards in the Midwest where I can find BMWs, preferably the Northwest Indiana/ Chicago area.

Try using this (http://www.car-part.com/), and search for a part you need. Once you fill out the info, you will see the contact info/where they are (you have to go all way almost to order). Hope this helps a little.

Isn't there a pick and pull place in Aurora? I've never been there as I am pretty new to the area, so I don't know if they have many bmws. There were some good yards in Maryland where I used to live, but I rarely saw bmw's newer than mid 90's in there. Lots of e28/e30/e34's though.

There is one in Melrose Park guy is always on Craigslist his name is Rob heres his number bro 773-319-0003. Last time I was up there he had about 4 E39 3 preface and 1 01+. He may have more now. He also had a E38. Check craigslist for other parts cars as well theres more then a few around the city.

I know it's a drive for you, but Brickyard imports just south of Indianapolis is exactly what you are looking for. Amazing place for import cars of all kinds, especially BMWs.

Indianapolis , they have many E39, Overpriced
From another side they do allow you to check yourself and pick up what you want
I do not recommend to buy important used parts online if you cant check it

They are called Veldman Auto Parts (http://www.veldmansautoparts.com/) in South Bend, IN. just outside the city on St Rd 2 heading towards
Michigan City. Right now they have a 540 and a few 530's :)

Veldmans will not let you go out and get what you want/need. For example I need a cap for my washer fluid tank. He said nope, can't sell you just the cap. I have 3 complete tanks tho $45 each. So it's not really a junk yard, it's an over priced used parts business.

There is a guy named Charbel north of Detroit specializing in parting and assembling E36s. Advertises on Detroit and A2 Craigslist. I could not find a recent ad from him, but he frequently posts there.
