Well, after a year and a half I am finally bringing the 525 up to snuff mechanically. Just ordered rear billy sports, upper control arms and bushings, tie rod (one done already), front and rear end links, condenser and receiver for a/c. HOPING it will be here by Friday, wife is away all weekend! :redspot I just have to find a set of eibachs and I'm ready to go!! :)
Yeah I know prob doesn't deserve a thread but it's been a long time coming for me so too bad! :stickoutt
Before and after pics to follow hopefully after the end of the weekend.
Also gonna pickup new front tires, rears are done. Kumho Ecsta ATS.
THanks to the CDN GUBMENT for my tax return! LOL

You mean a ton? :devillook :D
I love it too when the government allows me to keep some more of my own money. :)
Gonna feel good to have all that done. Mine needs new thrust arms but that's gonna have to wait a bit.

I love getting a big shipment of parts in.
My feelings are inversely proportionate when the credit card bill comes in.

Gonna be a busy weekend.... YEHAW!!!
2011-06-03 08:22 AM Delivered to KENNY at GUARD via TORONTO (DWNTWN/CTR VILLE),ON depot
Wife is away all weekend, let the work begin. Prob will take monday off to do the suspension work. YESSSS!! Gonna go order my 3mm spring pads after work today. My mechanic ordered my eibachs for me yesterday. Yes I will be paying someone to do the majority of the suspension work, this is simply because I do not have the space or the tools at my condo parking spot to do it myself. I will however be working WITH him at the shop to save myself some $$$$
Plan:
Saturday: Wreckers first thing in the morningfor a few odds and ends I need. Get home, eat lunch , tint windows, rewire stereo
That should prob take up most of the day.
Sunday: wash car, clay bar and wax. If I can find my angle grinder in my locker I may try and two-stage it.
Monday:
Get up early, pickup spring pads from dealer and go to the shop to get the car fixed... Honestly guys, I know most of you will think this is thread whoring but I am honestly ecstatic. Car has never been 100% since i got it and I have wanted an e34 since I was 14, I am 36 now. Now that I have the rims I want and am getting it fixed up I can't wait to have it all done. New sig pics coming!!!! :buttrock:buttrock

ok ok not a TONNE, but a lot. Parts all arrived in good order. Eibach's won't be here until Tuesday tho, so probably drop the car off Wed night. I will be fixing the A/C this weekend tho.

LOL, cornflake, I think the Yanks were commenting on your spelling...
FYI, my Americanski friends, tonne is the METRIC spelling. 1 000 kg = a metric tonne.
A metric tonne is about 2,200 lbs. So 10% more than an Imperial ton.

holy crap.... So after going to the scrapyard in the rain this morning and accomplishing nothing, i came home, ate and started on the A/C. Not an easy job!! Had issues with finding one tool that killed me (the correct 1/4 drive allen key for the compressor connections) and had issues getting the fan off the old condenser (ended up just leaving the screws on, lubing up and pulling the rubber grommets off and sliding them on the new condenser. I had read it was harder to get the condenser out from the bottom, not so, easier than getting it out through the top if you ask me. Anyways, everything changed up now!! Just have to charge it up and see if she blows cold, god I hope so. I think I am going to make tomorrow tinting and cleanup day, car needs it badly on both counts!!

OK folks, I finally have an e34 that drives like an e34!! Picked it up tonight and am thoroughly amazed. Pretty stiff but still not bad and no rear end flailing around!!! love it!!! Car hasn;t felt like this as long as I have owned it, I honestly am as happy as a pig in shit!!! :redspot
Hoping it settles a bit in the front. APparently the spring pads that i got were the same as what was already in there and they were supposed to be 3 mm that I got. Sits a little higher than I expected in the front, rear is perfect. It may drop another few mm so we will see.
