just check them i have no idea, but if a security fuse is blown t hat could be your issue..... you should have more like 10 if you have a keyless entry you would be looking at maybe 15?.... IF THEY LOOK CRAPPY change them lol

If it's a manual transmission, make sure that the clutch switch is functioning properly. Most Manual Transmissions have a switch connected to the clutch that prevents you from starting the car without pressing the Clutch pedal.

I've had the same issue with cars that had aftermarket auto-start alarm systems installed. Basically, In both cases it boiled down to a faulty connection in the wiring somewhere between the ignition, clutch switch, and starter.

Both problems were remedied after closely inspecting the wiring in the Drivers footwell.

On my E36 325is there was a square wiring harness attached in the upper Left corner of the drivers footwell where somebody had removed the switch and employed a large staple as a jumper for two of the wires, to trick the car/alarm system into thinking that the clutch was always depressed. I had accidentally removed the staple while doing some other work nearby.

The other car was a Honda prelude. It was basically the same issue.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific about part names, but I'm at work in my cubicle, and my Bentley Manual is 30 miles away at home in my Garage.
